The project fot the R5 plot is part of UpTown district in the Cascina Merlata broader intervention. The R5 area, which covers approximately 5,000 square metres, is located between Via Gallarate, Via Daimler and the Merlata Park and has exceptional environmental characteristics, being completely surrounded by vegetation and offering extensive views of the surrounding landscape.
Data
The project aims to enhance the urban potential of the buildings by creating a compact and recognisable block. Key principles include the definition of physical and visual relationships with Cascina Merlata, the park and Via Gallarate, as well as the creation of a clearly structured system of public, collective and private spaces.

Opening views
The design of the façade follows two principles: the fronts facing the park adopt a homogeneous skin, the rhythm of which is marked by large glass loggias. The internal façades define the intimate landscape of the courtyard and are characterised by continuous balconies protected by sliding thermowood shutters.
