The Milano4YOU Masterplan is organised around three main areas: urban, peri-urban and rural. These develop in a decreasing gradation of anthropisation and present different housing typologies. The design of the open spaces connects the three areas along the axis of the promenade, enhancing the permeability for cyclists and pedestrians, promoting slow mobility and supporting ecological continuity.

The urban area is mainly dedicated to the residential function and has a medium-high residential density. It is located close to the consolidated centre of Segrate and is divided into four plots arranged along a promenade with an open courtyard system. The volumetric composition is characterised by linear buildings and towers. On the ground floor there are semi-public and public spaces.

The peri-urban area is more green and less densely built, with villas, retirement homes and the Cascina Boffarola, which has been converted into a cultural centre. In the rural area, buildings give way to large green spaces and a natural landscape.
